Carla Eckland

Carla Eckland, Eastern Sierra Academy instructor. Carla grew up in Bishop and moved back to enjoy the mellow lifestyle of a small town and ample access to the outdoors. She has spent much of the last 10 years teaching in both the classroom environment and at outdoor science camps. She enjoys facilitating learning experiences for students using her passions for the outdoors, science and natural history. In her free time she likes to read, cook, and be outside enjoying the Eastern Sierra through skiing, bike riding, backpacking and climbing.
